A bit about Harviestoun Brewery
Harviestoun are about as Scottish as you can get - based in Clackmannanshire, they’ve been brewing small batch craft beer for over 30 years. As one of the forefathers of the Craft movement in the UK Harviestoun are most well known for their lager Schiehallion and the award-winning golden ale Bitter and Twisted. Having successfully bridged the gap between the modern and the traditional one of their most famous brews - Old Engine Oil Ola Dubh - is aged in whisky barrels and they’ve also created a special edition beer - Bitter & Twisted Zymatore - aged in gin and Pinot Noir barrels.
(In case you're wondering - the mouse on the label is the brewery mascot and was said to be the only inhabitant of the 200 year old barn when it was converted into a brewer in 1983 affectionately known as Harvie.)
