Ayrshire's Anna Sweeney just dropped her debut album: a self-produced 8 track pop record, under the title "GAME FACE". Think Taylor Swift, Haim, or Imogen Heap.
Since she burst onto the Scottish music scene for one very successful year at 18, Anna has taken time out due to illness. Back then, after a sold-out EP launch, multiple BBC TV performances and international festival appearances, the future looked bright. Thankfully, years on, it is: her comeback came in November 2017 with a live debut in Nashville, and the announcement of her album.
Anna's unshakeable determination, hard work, and talent has taken her from strength to strength in the short four months she has been back in action, having performed twice for Celtic Connections 2018, received national radio play on BBC Scotland and BBC ALBA, secured multiple 2018 festival slots and written, recorded and produced her debut album- all on her own.
